Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast on Friday, August 25th.
Recovery and rebuilding efforts will take months and even years. Southwest Church is seeking to help in addressing the spiritual and physical needs of those who have been displaced and are working through personal loss and tragedy.
So how can you help? There are a few options:
Southwest is in the practice of giving 10% of monthly giving to mission efforts. Out of our August contributions, SWC is giving $3500 to Real Life Ministries Texas. The leadership of Southwest has a special relationship with this church plant in the suburbs of Houston that is using every available resource to meet the needs of those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
In addition to 10% of the Labor Day weekend giving going directly to Real Life, you can help meet immediate needs by giving to their efforts as well. You can donate as you feel led by following this link: Give to Real Life
Southwest is partnering with Matthew 25 Ministries, an organization that is set up to meet Disaster Relief efforts. The weekends of September 2-3 and September 9-10, we will help collect supplies and items to aid Matthew 25 Ministries in their on-the-ground efforts.

Be on the lookout for both immediate and future opportunities to travel to Houston to work with a team from Springboro in helping with both rescue and recovery efforts.
